Welcome to the official website of the Rotary Club of Bonny Island.

It is both an honour and a privilege to serve as the 7th President of this remarkable club for the 2026–2027 Rotary Year. I am deeply grateful to our members for the confidence reposed in me, and I look forward to leading alongside a dedicated team of Rotarians committed to transforming lives through service.

Rotary has always been more than an organisation; it is a global network of people united by a common purpose: to create positive, lasting change in our communities and in ourselves. Guided by this year's Rotary International message, “Create Lasting Impact,” our club is committed to ensuring that every project, every partnership, and every act of service leaves a meaningful and sustainable legacy.

Since our charter in July 2020, the Rotary Club of Bonny Island has continued to grow in strength, relevance, and community impact. Our achievements have been made possible through the dedication of our members, the support of our partners, and the trust of the communities we serve. As we build on this strong foundation, our focus this year is not merely to do more, but to do our best by creating sustainable projects, strengthening our membership, embracing innovation, and developing future leaders.

Our strategic direction for the year is anchored on five key pillars:

Together, we can build healthier communities, support education, promote peace, protect the environment, and create opportunities that empower people to thrive.

Grow and retain an engaged, diverse, and vibrant membership.

  • Enhance member experience through meaningful fellowship, mentorship, and professional development.
  • Develop future Rotary leaders through intentional succession planning.

Deliver Sustainable Community Projects

Implement high-impact projects that address identified community needs.

  • Prioritise interventions in maternal and child health, education, WASH, disease prevention, environmental sustainability, and economic empowerment.
  • Build projects that create measurable and long-term community outcomes.

Support The Rotary Foundation

Increase giving to the Annual Fund, PolioPlus Fund, and Endowment Fund.

  • Promote Every Rotarian Every Year participation.
  • Leverage District and Global Grants to expand community impact.

Invest in Youth

Strengthen partnerships with Rotaract and Interact clubs.

  • Support leadership development, literacy, entrepreneurship, vocational service, and peace-building initiatives.
  • Inspire the next generation of ethical and community-minded leaders.

Enhance Public Image and Digital Presence

Increase awareness of Rotary through strategic communication and storytelling.

  • Maintain an active website and social media presence.
  • Showcase projects, partnerships, and member achievements to strengthen Rotary's visibility and credibility.

Uphold high standards of governance, accountability, and transparency.

  • Improve operational efficiency through digital tools and data-driven decision-making.

Build Strategic Partnerships

Collaborate with corporate organisations, government agencies, NGOs, traditional institutions, and community stakeholders.
